A diverse population of butternuts, selected and bred by Adaptive Seeds in Oregon. They planted as many early butternut varieties as they could and allowed them to freely cross pollinate. The subsequent years saw selection for earliness and small-medium sizes (although large sizes will still appear). The past few years our friends at Seed and Scarecrow Farm has been continuing with that selection, but in Nova Scotia. Expect an abundance of delicious biodiversity from this one! 20 seeds
