Ruby Moon Hyacinth Bean

New for 2025 - Lablab purpurpeus - Every part of this vine is stunning purple. The tall spikes of blossoms are reminiscent of their namesake hyacinth flower. Deep purple glossy pods are equally showy, and are eaten in the fresh shelling stage. All parts are edible (the flowers are delightful on salad), though the seeds should be boiled twice with a change of water before eating. Tender perennial grown as an annual in our climate. Vigorous vines need a sturdy trellis. Hummingbird favourite. Limited supply - 15 seeds
