Bush Candy Bean

New for 2026 - Our own bush selection of the beloved Candy bean. Compact bush with big yields of large pink/red striped beans. As a dry bean they're great in soups, baked beans or hummus. Try them in the plump shelling stage too; just pod them out of their pods and give a quick sauté. 20 seeds

The original Candy has long been a farm favourite, with huge yields of big pink striped beans. Their only drawback is their semi-runner growth habit; they send out short vines in all directions. Around 2018 (while making selections for Fundy Amethyst) I spotted a number of plants with Candy's big pink seeds but were also non-vining bushes. After a few years of selection, we're ready to offer them in 2026!
