Faggidi Alta Con la Buccia Blu Pole Bean

Rare Italian variety from the Seeds of Diversity Seed Bank. Supremely vigorous tall vines with stripe-y purple pods and pretty striped beans. Delicious harvested when the pods have filled but not dried down and then shelled into a pot of boiling water for a few minutes. Delicious drizzled with a bit of olive oil and sprinkled with salt. They are great as a dry bean too. Easy to harvest the dried pods in fall and process for stews and chilis. The name translated from Italian is Tall Beech with Blue Skin.
