Isatis indigotica - A smaller plant compared to European (Dyer’s) Woad. By some accounts this species is pound for pound the better dye material. As well as a dye, it's valued as a medical; traditionally used for it’s anti-viral properties. Biennial, although some plants seem to always bloom their first year. Plumes of yellow flowers 3’ tall. 50+ seeds
