Traditional flint corn from Northern Italy, selected for hundreds of years by farmers of the Sugana Valley for making polenta. Also a great variety for milling into cornmeal and flour. Tall plants each bear 1-2 large cobs with dark-red pointed kernels. Relatively early maturing, owing to their alpine heritage. From a late-May sowing they ripened to maturity in early October. 75+ seeds (15 g)
