Butterfly Weed

New for 2025 - Asclepias tuberosa - aka: Pluerisy Root. Among the most showy members of the milkweed family. 1-2 foot tall plants topped with vibrant orange flowers. The flowers attract all sorts of pollinators, and like other milkweed species the leaves are food for monarch caterpillars. Non-spreading, and very well behaved in the garden. Native to eastern and central North America, as far north as southern Ontario and Quebec.
