B. rapa - Smooth yellow skin and golden flesh. A true turnip, best planted in late-Summer/early Fall as they can bolt pre-maturely during the long days of summer. Gold Ball is an excellent keeper, and when picked young (at 3") they're a tender and sweet salad turnip.
