New for 2025 - Rubia tinctorum - aka Dyer's Madder. Source of brilliant red dye. Tough and long lived perennial in the same family as cleavers. 3' long vines which form a bushy clump, or will intertwine into neighbouring plants using the tiny hooks along their stems and leaves. The long ropey roots are the part used for dyeing, they can be harvested after the second year. Clusters of small yellow flowers, which develop into round black fruits. 20+ seeds
