Marvel of Nictaux Pole Bean

Developed here on the farm - Large, flat, green pods with purple steaks, with cream and black streaked seeds. Good eaten small as a snap bean, but it's best as a fresh shelling bean or dry. Vigorous climbing vines, and pink blossoms.

In 2007 I grew a row of McGrath’s Africa, a pole bean with big purple pods and cream coloured seeds. A single plant in that row wanted to be non-conformist, and sent out eye-catching streaked pods and seeds. I saved seed from that plant, and have been growing and stabilizing this strain ever since. - 30+ seeds (15 grams)
