De-hybridized, open pollinated version of Gypsy Pepper. Sweet, crispy and well adapted for our region. These plants bear an abundance of large top-shaped fruit, which start yellow and ripen to red.
Steph Warr of Twisted Brook has been working on this strain for almost a decade. Gypsy has long been a popular hybrid among organic market farmers, but when Monsanto acquired Seminis Seeds in 2005 it also acquired the rights to Gypsy. Wanting continued access to a pepper that did well on her farm, Steph began the process of selecting and stabilizing, and released Nomad in 2018. 25 seeds
