Soapwort

New for 2024 - Saponaria officinalis - aka: Bouncing Bet, Wild Sweet William. Sturdy and long-lived perennial, perfect for cottage garden style plantings. White-pink flowers grow to 2-3 feet tall. They bloom at night, attracting moths and other nocturnal pollinators. The roots are rich in saponins, and can be used as a soap. Fun fact, traditional halva is made using soapwort; it's frothy quality gives halva it's distinctive lofty texture. That said, ingesting this plant is best avoided unless you know what you're doing. 100+ seeds
