New for 2026 - Helianthus maximiliani - Hardy perennial sunflower from the tallgrass prairie. Native to much of central and eastern North America. Bright yellow flowers atop sturdy branching 4-6' stalks. Dozens or hundreds of flower heads on each plant. Prolonged blooming period from late summer into fall. Top choice for native insect pollinators, and the mature seed heads are a favourite for fall flocks of birds. These tough, hardy plants thrive in poor soil, and tolerate drought very well. They form deeply rooted clumps, and spread slowly with rhizomes. Weed them out if they spread too far. Perhaps best suited for a wild meadow planting. 80+ seeds
