New for 2026 - Brassica oleracea - Heirloom collard with purple stems and blue-tinged leaves that get darker with cold weather. Thick crunchy leaves, eat them cooked when they're fully grown or chopped in salads when young. We've found this variety to be particularly cold hardy, the leaves remain in great shape even when chiselling through the snow to get them. 250 seeds (1 g)

Growing Info
Sowing The two best planting windows are early spring and late summer. We like to start seedlings indoors in March/April for harvesting throughout the summer. August sowing is ideal for October harvest, and onwards into winter.
Transplant Plant outdoors after seedlings have one or two sets of true leaves. Anytime after soil can be worked in spring, the young plants can tolerate light frost
Soil Fertile, well amended soil will result in the happiest plants. Steady moisture is important, especially in hot weather
Light Full sun to part shade
Spacing 12-18" between plants, 24" between rows. Closer for baby greens
